I am often asked about different bugs going around or about a news story discussing a medical topic and while a lot of people think we have all answers, we just don’t.
However, with spending most of my days either in the Emergency Room or treating all of our great patients, I have a good sense of what questions and subjects you have and want to discuss.
Medicine allows me to not only treat patients, but also to educate them.
Why won’t an antibiotic work on the Flu? What do I do if I sprain my ankle? My child has been coughing for a week, should we bring them to the Emergency Room?
I get questions like this every single day.
I always do my best to answer every question and to do so based on my years of training and experience, but also based on the tenets and science of medicine and the entities that are tasked with keeping us all healthy and safe.
So, in this space, I’ll be writing about the topics that you ask me about, and the things in medicine that are making news.
I hope that you’ll be a frequent reader!
